Cost: £169 for a one day course

The cost includes all study materials, wine samples, tuition and examination fee.

Study materials are issued at the start of the course an exam consisting of 30 multiple choice questions is set at the end of the course and the qualification obtained is Ofqual regulated.




WSET Level 2 course in Wines and Spirits


An essential introduction to the world of wines and spirits

What's covered?

- How grapes are grown and how wine is made from them

- The factors which influence the style of a wine

- The key white and black grape varieties and their characteristics

- The important wine-producing regions of the world in which these grapes are grown

- The production of sparkling, sweet and fortified wines

- How to read and understand wine label

- Tutored tastings of wines

- How to make food and wine pairings

- The principal categories of spirits and liqueurs and how they are made


Cost: £449 for a three day course 

The cost includes all study materials, wine and spirit samples, tuition, six ISO tasting glasses and examination fee. An exam of 50 multiple choice questions concludes the course and the qualification obtained is Ofqual regulated.

What do I need to know for the Level 1 and 2 courses?

No prior knowledge is required for either levels of attainment. All classes are delivered in English, therefore a good level of English is beneficial. Students completely new to wine and spirits may wish to complete the Level 1 Award in Wines first but this is not essential. For the Level 2 course you will be supplied a course text book which should be read in advance and between classes.

Both Level 1 and Level 2 courses are run in central Cambridge at the Hotel du Vin 15-19 Trumpington Street, Cambridge, CB2 1QA
